The look is amazing, and the performance backs it up. Designed as a total “one-box solution,” this RD series amplifier from JL Audio can comfortably drive a complete 4-satellite speaker system plus a subwoofer — all with a robust 900 watts of power.
Small size, minimal heat and lots of power — Class-D amplifier design offers significant advantages. And our NexD™ switching technology adds even more, using enhanced pulse width modulation techniques to boost the amplifier’s bandwidth while minimizing distortion and improving efficiency.
Churning out 900 watts of total power — 100 watts from each of its 4 channels into a 2-ohm load (14.4 volts, 1% THD) plus a robust 500 watts for a subwoofer — this RD series amp brings stunning output to your audio system. Each pair of main channels is also fully bridgeable, enabling an ultrapowerful 3-channel amplifier setup.
Each of the amplifier’s main channels is equipped with a 12-decibel/octave high-pass filter, with an additional band-pass filter on its rear channels and a dedicated low-pass filter for the subwoofer channel. All 3 crossovers offer continuously variable frequency selection from 50–500 Hz for precise filtering.
An LED clipping indicator light on the control panel lets you quickly set your amplifier’s input sensitivity, without the need for additional test equipment.
With “input type” switches on the stereo channel sections, RD series amps can eliminate the need for Y-adapters when bridging stereo output channels.
When used as a system amplifier, the band-pass crossover feature enables a two-way active configuration.
Power output: 100 W x4 @ 2 Ω for main channels; 500 W x1 @ 2 Ω for subwoofer.
Bridgeable channels: Main channels can be bridged for 200 W x2 @ 4 Ω, creating a 3-channel amplifier configuration.
Filters:
Channels 1 & 2: 12 dB/octave high-pass filter
Channels 3 & 4: 12 dB/octave high-pass or band-pass filter
Subwoofer: 12 dB/octave low-pass filter
All filters have continuously variable frequency selection (50–500 Hz) for precise system tuning.
Signal processing: Dual-range differential-balanced inputs, adjustable input sensitivity (200 mV–8 V RMS), LED clipping indicators, and “input type” switches eliminate the need for Y-adapters when bridging.
Remote control: Optional RBC-1 remote level control enables subwoofer adjustment from the driver’s seat.
Protection: Over/under voltage, thermal, and short-circuit protection for safe, reliable operation.
