The ARC Audio RS 6.0 is a 6.5-inch mid-bass and midrange driver that represents the pinnacle of ARC’s Reference Series, designed specifically for discerning listeners who demand precision, clarity, and dynamic musicality from their car audio systems. At the heart of the RS 6.0 is a hard-pressed composite paper cone infused with bamboo and papyrus fibres, delivering a natural, detailed sound character with exceptional stiffness and low mass. This design allows the driver to maintain tonal accuracy across a wide frequency range, while the unique semi-parabolic dust cap, reinforced with vertical splines, works to suppress unwanted distortion and break-up modes, particularly during high-excursion playback.
The motor system is equally sophisticated, featuring a shallow, fully vented neodymium motor structure paired with an extended copper shorting ring. This combination enhances bandwidth and reduces inductance distortion, resulting in greater clarity and responsiveness. Thermal management is optimized through a die-cast aluminium basket with vented construction, which promotes efficient voice coil cooling. A low-shore rubber surround and flat progressive spider provide controlled excursion and fast transient response, essential for reproducing tight, accurate bass and midrange tones.
